Before starting Wise Owl Films in 2018, Mark worked across ITV Studios factual output in Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester and London for over 25 years, creating around 200 different series and prime-time specials for ITV, the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky. Titles include May The Best House Win, Super Tiny Animals, Last Laugh In Vegas, hard-hitting documentaries like Executed and the BAFTA nominated The Miners’ Strike and Me, and The Nation’s Favourite ITV music brand which told the stories behind the songs of icons such as ABBA, Elvis Presley and The Beatles.

Mark created Shiver - ITV Studios’ first label – in 2007, working closely on shows with many of Britain’s best-loved television stars including Peter Kay and David Jason as well as with some of Britain’s biggest institutions and brands, including record companies and the families and estates of comedy legends. Projects he has looked after for Wise Owl Films include the When ‘X’ Came To Britain BBC Two brand (i.e Bob Marley, Nirvana and Bruce Springsteen), Yorkshire Firefighters, The Hacienda: The Club That Shook Britain and Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids.

Over the course of his career, Mark’s projects have picked up BAFTA and Rose D’Or nominations and over a dozen RTS awards. He continues to executive produce for Wise Owl and develop new programmes, particularly in the music and cultural history space.
