Wise Owl’s BBC Two documentary When Bruce Springsteen Came To Britain was shown as part of the BFI London Film Festival at Vue, Leicester Square, on Wednesday October 15th.
The hour-long film was chosen to accompany the gala premiere of the new movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, which was held in London on the same day.
The Wise Owl team were joined by members of the BBC popular music commissioning team for the documentary screening, ahead of a repeat of the film on BBC4 on Friday October 31st. The documentary is also available on the BBC iPlayer.
When Bruce Springsteen Came To Britain was made to mark 50 years since Springsteen’s first performance in the UK – at what was then the Hammersmith Odeon. The film was produced and directed by Stuart Ramsay and edited by James Alcock with Andy Beckett as archive producer.
